Well, we've been home a little over two weeks and it's been busy. I had to go right back to work, then the next day, F&B had to head back to school. Since then, it's been a melange of school and activities on a seemingly daily basis.
A few highlights:
F&B and I headed out to Mochitsuki, a Japanese New Year's festival. Both kids loved practicing the calligraphy, origami and the drum performances, and in true Ben fashion, he took one bite of the mochi and I had to find him a trash can to spit it out in. He did, however, like their cookies.
Faith practicing her calligraphy for "dream"
Ben did "happiness" with a lot of help from Mommy
We've also had some lovely Texas January days with temperatures pushing 80 on a few of them! More days are in the 60s-low 70s, but F&B have been having a blast playing outside while the weather is temperate. Before long, it will be over 100 and they'll have to be inside with the a/c on.
Ben figured out how to climb to the top of their little play gym
I pitched a tent for them in the backyard, they can spend hours in it!!!
Faith also started volleyball again, it's sort of through school/sort of through PSA. My friend Sandra is coaching again and she has several of her school friends on her team, so it makes it that much more fun for her. Ben is waiting to start basketball which will probably be in the fall for him (Sandra is going to coach that too, so we think he'll probably play for her).
Parent of the year award??

I love the tent idea & I can't wait to put one in the back yard so I can have some peace... I mean so Kasen can play. ;)
I. Miss. Warm.
I love the title of your blog...It reminded me of the term, "renaissance Man"--The guy who can do everything.
