Friday - Lunch at Peter Piper Pizza with Melissa and her girls, then hanging out & playing at home.
Saturday - The week finally caught up to me and I spent the day with a headache. This Spring Breaking is quite tiring for the mommy.

Spring Break Zoo Trip
Last spring, we bought a membership to the Dallas Zoo and have not really taken advantage of it since. Assorted things arose--too hot, too cold, too rainy, sick kids, everytime we planned to go. But with it expiring soon, we wanted to get in at least one more trip so we at least got our money's worth.
Since it's Spring Break and Shaun is off, we headed out in the late morning to enjoy a family day. We actually walked the entire zoo, including Ben who insisted on no stroller and was thus forced to walk it all on his own two feet. Since Faith hiked all over St. Petersburg, Russia with us at 3 and a half years old, Ben is certainly more than capable of walking at the zoo. He didn't quite agree by the end of the day.
Some pics from our day:

Faith & Ben Funnies
On the way home from church tonight:
Faith: Where are we going?
Me: Home.
Faith: Well, can we get something to eat?
Shaun: You ate before church.
Faith: That wasn't dinner, that was appetizers.
And from Ben, a few minutes later, he was holding a sheet with his Sunlight/Sunbeam song on it.
Me: Can you sing it for us Ben?
Ben: I need the light on!
Me: But you can't read, why do you need the light?
Ben: I need the light on!
(Faith leans over and puts the light on.)
Faith: Ben, you know the paper is upside down, right?
Goofy kids, but definitely amusing.

It's been awhile, and Spring Break!
I haven't felt much like updating this blog, our life seems to go very typically as of late. School, work, homeschool, church, volleyball, etc.
We have done a few fun things--Shaun turned 37, Faith has entered the realm of first grade sleepovers, Ben and I went to see Bob the Builder Live.
But now, it's Spring Break for us. So far, we have:
* hosted a first grade sleepover for Faith & her friends Audrey & Rebekah
* had lunch with Daddy
* toured a dairy farm
* had a late night date for pho & Bolt at the movie theater
And it's just Wednesday today. Also on the agenda is the zoo, Peter Piper Pizza, and probably some other stuff.
I think fourth grade might be a vacation after this week!
